Multiplexing phone lines through a leased line via
Vox-O-Mat Telephony Gateway
There are some cases when offices are connected
to each other directly via leased phone lines.
In this case only one call can go through the line usually. Our solution can
consume leased line costs.
If the leased line is used for computer connection with TCP/IP,
two Telephony Gateways in the two offices can transmit more then
one voice connection at the same time
- in fact as many as the network bandwidth allows.
If only two Gateways are connected there is no need for using the Server
for call routing. Though if billing and call activity report is needed,
there must be at least one Server installed at any end of the transmission line
to keep track of calls.
The Telephony Gateways can block some telephone numbers by the
local blocking mechanism to prevent access to outside PSTN lines.
