The Vox-O-Mat Server
The Vox-O-Mat Server is available currently for Win32 and Linux platforms.
It's main purpose is to route connections from callers to recipients,
check the access rights and maintain call information such as connection time, call costs,
error logs, etc.
There is also a possibility to add modules to the server to handle
voice messages if the recipient is not available,
send files or faxes as well, and handle conference calls.
Connections are based on 'Classes'.
The operator can assign rights to the connection classes,
and these rigths and more other settings are used to determine
whether a caller can reach a recipient, or which recipient will be targeted.
The main reason for this mechanism is when the Vox-O-Mat Server is
used with a Telephony Gateway,
it can be configured to forbid some special sort of phonecalls
or also can be configured to find out the
least cost solution for accessing the given number.
The server can be configured via Web Browser,
so there it is not a huge application containing the whole user interface, etc.
This way it is the easiest to print and format the logs, activity reports, etc.
